Macun Lakes
After an ascent of more than five hours, you reach the unique Macun lake plateau in the Lower Engadine, canton of Grisons. There, 23 mountain lakes of various sizes lie scattered across the plateau of the Swiss National Park at 2600 m above sea level. On the original print, you’ll spot a few tiny hikers down at the lakes. This picture was taken with a Mamiya 7 on expired Kodak Ektachrome E100S slide film which has hardly lost any of its colour brilliance, even 15 years after its expiry date.
